How should this medicine be used?
Trazodone comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken with a meal or light snack two or more times a day. To help you remember to take trazodone, take it around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take trazodone exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it, take it more often, or take it for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor.
Your doctor may start you on a low dose of trazodone and gradually increase your dose, not more than once every 3 to 4 days. Your doctor may decrease your dose once your condition is controlled.
Trazodone controls depression, but does not cure it. It may take 2 weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of trazodone. Continue to take trazodone even if you feel well. Do not stop taking trazodone without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.
Your doctor or pharmacist will give you the manufacturer's patient information sheet when you begin treatment with trazodone. Read the information carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

Production of Trazadone
See answer above. That is how I arrived at this board. But I don't get it. This might not be the manufacturer? Perhaps we need to research Pharmaceutical World or trazodone + .com.
Trazodone is the generic name for desyrel.
I think the drug is so old that whoever manufactured desyrel doesn't anymore as I did enter desyrel + .com and came up with nothing using MSN search. Hmm......
But do check out this cool link which I found here (!) too regarding all generic drugs:

trazodone + side effects
Hi, my Dr. recently put me on 50 mg of Trazodone. I was depressed and couldn't sleep. THe Trazodone has been great because I sleep really good and don't wakeup feeling groggy. But the medicine makes me really constipated! I have been taking stool softeners at night but no help. I know its kind of weird to bring this up but if anyone has suggestions about this it would be appreciated.
I also take Zoloft in the morning and have been on it for 15 years with no side effects.
Thanks, JJ

Does anyone know the side effects of taking Zoloft and Trazodone? I've been experiencing heavy sweating and shivering. I take Trazodone for sleep.
