Is there a real difference between all the statins?
As usual, when one drug gets generic, the big pharma companies launch a "new" formulation or a new brand... Could somebody help to understand if there is a real difference between atorvastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin, fluvastatin and all the products of this class. Why should the health insurance not recommend to systematically take the cheapest "quality proven" generic?
This would save so much to the budget and then more people could get decent health insurance coverage
