Lithium (Systemic)
Brand name(s): Cibalith-S
Description
Lithium (LITH-ee-um) is used to treat the manic stage of bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness). Manic-depressive patients experience severe mood changes, ranging from an excited or manic state (for example, unusual anger or irritability or a false sense of well-being) to depression or sadness. Lithium is used to reduce the frequency and severity of manic states. Lithium may also reduce the frequency and severity of depression in bipolar disorder.
It is not known how lithium works to stabilize a person's mood. However, it does act on the central nervous system. It helps you to have more control over your emotions and helps you cope better with the problems of living.
It is important that you and your family understand all the effects of lithium. These effects depend on your individual condition and response and the amount of lithium you use. You also must know when to contact your doctor if there are problems with the medicine's use. Lithium may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription, in the following dosage forms:
- Capsules (U.S. and Canada)
- Slow-release capsules (Canada)
- Syrup (U.S.)
- Tablets (U.S. and Canada)
- Extended-release tablets (U.S. and Canada)

Risperdal
I have been diagnosed as bi-polar. I am not sure if that is exactly what i am though. In my understanding bi polar patients go through stages of mania and depression. I however do not actually cycle. I am just tired and pissed off all the time. I do not feel that I am sad or depressed......I am ANGRY! I fly off the handle al the time and feel like hurting people. Can any one suggest anything to help me? Right now I am on Lithium and Wellbutrin and Seroquil at bed time. Not helping! Prozac did not work or Paxil..do you think Risperdol is for me?

Production of Trazadone
See answer above. That is how I arrived at this board. But I don't get it. This might not be the manufacturer? Perhaps we need to research Pharmaceutical World or trazodone + .com.
Trazodone is the generic name for desyrel.
I think the drug is so old that whoever manufactured desyrel doesn't anymore as I did enter desyrel + .com and came up with nothing using MSN search. Hmm......
But do check out this cool link which I found here (!) too regarding all generic drugs:
