possible doseing
Recently in the ER for a bad case of rapid spreading cellulitis i was given a dose of genta, combined with a dose of clindamycin both IV push.... then i was put on clindamycin...
for about 24 hrs the healing was amazing...
but now after 36 hrs i almost feel like i need more gentamicin.... sigh.... but i don't want to go inpatient unless there's no other way.
And i read that genta is not usually given orally....
any other ideas or suggestions for treatment?
I'm taking the clindamycin... and yes if need be i will go inpatient, but... i'd really rather not....

I went into the hospital er was given a shot of clindamysin in the muscle, a bottle to take home and also a bottle of for the same diagnosis. cellulitis, over jaw and neck. It has been 6 days and I still have signs of it. This all began when after taking antibiotics for 2 years because "Dentical" would not pull my teeth and simply kept giving me antibiotics. I finally got my teeth pulled, however I ended up with this crap within 24 hours after they were pulled. It has re occurred about 20 times in the last 5 years now, however this week was the very worst it has ever been. My current quack of a doctor kept telling me it was viral. I just had a bone fusion on my lower back and am concerned now that I may have problems with this surgery due to the infection. Any info on this?If the gentamicin helped you, maybe this is what I need too. This infection has left pigment blotches all over my neck that have never gone away.
Bacterial Infection that wont go away!
