| Since the raid on the Paxil headquarters which yielded studies proving an increase in suicidality when on Paxil versus placebo, has anyone found any sort of rebuffing evidence? I personally can totally understand how it would increase suicidality. They don't effect you if you don't think they will (read: Placebo effect). And suicidal people generally don't think anything will help them, in my experience. Also, add to that the fact that the actual drug yields awful side effects (including inability to control one's mood, resulting in very violent mood swings), while the placebo is harmless, and you have all the reason you need.

What are your opinions?

--------------------
A penny found is penny to clutter up your purse.
|

| Recenty I've been prescribed paroxetine for depression. However, I've never had suicidal thoughts or anything like that, will taking this cause me to have them? |

| all anti-depressants have some side effects - you just have to preplan it that your always going to be in control and that suicide is not a viable option - hope the best for you and thinking of you for sure - |

Anxiety can be quite scary and maybe medication could be a solution, but
I find the ease with which doctors write prescriptions about rather
disturbing.
Nowadays anxiety is a very common, and can be worked through.
Medication can hel to quit the symptoms but it really doesn't solve your problems that are causing to tou that, sometimes it's best to solve this things for yourself. I personally used a program at www.selftherapy.org which I though was pretty good. Perhaps your solution lies elsewhere.
Good look! |
