How should this medicine be used?
Flurazepam comes as a capsule to take by mouth and may be taken with or without food. It usually is taken before bedtime when needed. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take flurazepam exactly as directed.
Flurazepam can be habit-forming. Do not take a larger dose, take it more often, or for a longer time than your doctor tells you to. Tolerance may develop with long-term or excessive use, making the drug less effective. Do not take flurazepam for more than 4 weeks or stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor. Stopping the drug suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms (anxiousness, sleeplessness, and irritability). Your doctor probably will decrease your dose gradually. You may experience sleeping difficulties the first one or two nights after stopping this medication. If your sleep problems continue, talk to your doctor, who will determine whether this drug is right for you.

The effects of taking Trazodone as a sleeping pill.
I've also taken Trazodone. i did not have the same affect though. i slept well. i was somewhat groggy the next day. but that was it. I liked it.
i now have a new presciption for flurazepam. i know nothing about it except that its used for insomnia. which i have. So, i totally know how you feel about not sleeping. I'll let you know how this works after about a week.

flurazepam
i was just prescribed this drug today for sleep. i have had problems sleeping since 1998. does anyone know if this drug works or has any weird side affects. The doc told me today that i would probably be groggy the next morning but if i just drank a cup of coffee i would be all right. the caps are 30 mg each. 30 pills per refill with three refills.
Or.....does anyone have any suggestions for anything else to take that i can ask my doctor for sleep?

Production of Trazadone
See answer above. That is how I arrived at this board. But I don't get it. This might not be the manufacturer? Perhaps we need to research Pharmaceutical World or trazodone + .com.
Trazodone is the generic name for desyrel.
I think the drug is so old that whoever manufactured desyrel doesn't anymore as I did enter desyrel + .com and came up with nothing using MSN search. Hmm......
