Clarithromycin causes upset stomach and others
I noticed diana poster somethig similar at this post

My doctor prescribet Clarinthomycin 2 days ago but after two days of doses (1000 mg once a day) I feel my stomach was upset and everything was just shooting thru. (I'm eating soft things like yogurt and I feel better). Also my dreams started to get weired. I guess I could call them nightmares.
In my opinion this medication is too strong. I am arrount thirty and don't remember side-effects on any medicine before. I read in internet that it was prescribed for a twenty years old and I don't think they should. I am sure there are less potent antibiotics for these common infections.
I think they can prescribe something less harmful and someone should advise the doctors to prescribe clarithromycin with caution.

Nitroglycerin and systoms of overdose?
Hello,
Since this is my first post,I will try to make it short.I have read the data sheet that came with this medicine and it does talk about what happens if someone overdoses. But I am assuming they are talking about an accidental overdose of ,say,3-6 pills. But what does it do to you if someone ingested 50 or more at one time. No,it is not me.Of course everyone says that when they want to know what to expect. But it just happens to be the truth this time.I am a totally disabled Vietnam vet, with no issues bad enough for me to even think of doing something that crazy.Anyway, I have a very close friend, a Vietnam vet as well, that has some serious issues with his torn up body and no legs & with just one arm.The VA psychiatrists have been working with him almost from day one. They continue to fill him with a handful of pills everyday.I mean he has to take 24 every morning,14 at dinner, and 28 every night. But recently he has just completely given up on himself and told me he plans to take the nitroglycerin in the quantity I stated, maybe more.If I tell the VA or any civilian organization,he would disappear, forever.I have not read him the part about overdose on the data paper, yet.I am trying to scare him out of it by telling him the truth that if he did this, that this medicine would do all those things, not only for a longer period of time but worse, before they let you die.
So,any info that I can use would be greatly appreciated.Oh,the last time I ask this on another forum, last week, they somehow got my home address and sent the Sheriff out to my house, and since my friend lives in 'seeing' distance of me,it spooked him off to another location about 40 miles from me.He only let me know where he was yesterday.
Thank you.

Awful taste
I've been taking Clarithromycin for 4 days and cannot wait for the 10th day to come! It has this God-awful after taste like constantly having a mouthful of pennies in your mouth. During the day, I am able to somewhat rid the taste with gum/ candy which I don't normally consume. But at night, I find myself waking up periodically to rinse or brush my teeth because the taste is SOOO bad. Has anyone else had is this bad? How do you deal? I think I would rather have my bronchitis back then have to deal with this.

Clarithromycin
I just joined a University of Rochester; Strong Memorial Hospital Studay on the use of this drug to treat nasal polyps (spelling?). My comment is that I welcome anyone who is interested in messaging on their experiences taking this drug for this reason. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Sinus Itus and Nasal Polyps and will be visiting her now and then to report my progress. 1 dose daily for 4 months. We will see...
