Clarithromycin causes upset stomach and others
I noticed diana poster somethig similar at this post http://www.meds-help.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=620 My doctor prescribet Clarinthomycin 2 days ago but after two days of doses (1000 mg once a day) I feel my stomach was upset and everything was just shooting thru. (I'm eating soft things like yogurt and I feel better). Also my dreams started to get weired. I guess I could call them nightmares. In my opinion this medication is too strong. I am arrount thirty and don't remember side-effects on any medicine before. I read in internet that it was prescribed for a twenty years old and I don't think they should. I am sure there are less potent antibiotics for these common infections. I think they can prescribe something less harmful and someone should advise the doctors to prescribe clarithromycin with caution.

Awful taste
I've been taking Clarithromycin for 4 days and cannot wait for the 10th day to come! It has this God-awful after taste like constantly having a mouthful of pennies in your mouth. During the day, I am able to somewhat rid the taste with gum/ candy which I don't normally consume. But at night, I find myself waking up periodically to rinse or brush my teeth because the taste is SOOO bad. Has anyone else had is this bad? How do you deal? I think I would rather have my bronchitis back then have to deal with this.
