Metronidazole (Baterial Vaginosis)
My GP recently prescribed Metronidazole because I had Bacterial Vagininosis. I took 400mg for 7 days. and now 8 days later, I have very itchy skin.Is this normal or should I go back to my GP. I've heard that itchy skin is one of the side effects but does how long can the side effects last?

Nitroglycerin and systoms of overdose?
Hello,
Since this is my first post,I will try to make it short.I have read the data sheet that came with this medicine and it does talk about what happens if someone overdoses. But I am assuming they are talking about an accidental overdose of ,say,3-6 pills. But what does it do to you if someone ingested 50 or more at one time. No,it is not me.Of course everyone says that when they want to know what to expect. But it just happens to be the truth this time.I am a totally disabled Vietnam vet, with no issues bad enough for me to even think of doing something that crazy.Anyway, I have a very close friend, a Vietnam vet as well, that has some serious issues with his torn up body and no legs & with just one arm.The VA psychiatrists have been working with him almost from day one. They continue to fill him with a handful of pills everyday.I mean he has to take 24 every morning,14 at dinner, and 28 every night. But recently he has just completely given up on himself and told me he plans to take the nitroglycerin in the quantity I stated, maybe more.If I tell the VA or any civilian organization,he would disappear, forever.I have not read him the part about overdose on the data paper, yet.I am trying to scare him out of it by telling him the truth that if he did this, that this medicine would do all those things, not only for a longer period of time but worse, before they let you die.
So,any info that I can use would be greatly appreciated.Oh,the last time I ask this on another forum, last week, they somehow got my home address and sent the Sheriff out to my house, and since my friend lives in 'seeing' distance of me,it spooked him off to another location about 40 miles from me.He only let me know where he was yesterday.
Thank you.

Metronidazole (Baterial Vaginosis)
I also took metronidazole in the form of a vaginal gel for a yeast infection. Two days after starting the medication, I also broke out in a severe rash. The rash is still spreading after 12 days, despite treatment with methylprednisolone (7 days)and diphenhydramine. This treatment arrested the rash, but it began spreading again as soon as the treatment stopped.

How do I get rid of the rash?

Would like to discuss Pregablin w/other test subjects
Hello Meetinglady

I did some research about two years ago and found that Europe is holding the patent for some reason. Our FDA wouldn't release it because they said they found that it caused tumors in one specific type of mouse. I don't understand this. I did read that the patient could be release in two to four years for us. I'm just waiting and hoping that we will be able to recieve it soon. I am going to do more research and will let you know what I can find out. If you find anything out please let me know.
The doctor that was conducting the experiment was interested in the effect the drug had on me and was affraid I would go back into my shell without it so we came up with a comprable combination of drugs that had a similar affect.Right now I am taking GABAPENTIN (neurontin) and CLONAZEPAM (klonopin). I don't know if you are aware of this but the main ingredient in PREGABLIN is GABAPENTIN. We wern't sure of the other ingredient because they weren't told . But we tried several combinations of things like neurontin with xanax, valium, and another one I don't remember. Those didn't work for me. The combination made me nervous. (That's a good thing because they are very addicting. We finely settled on the klonopin. This really works. I have been taking it for about seven years now and it works. I may have a panic attach on the average once a week. Before it was a daily thing. I couldn't leave the house.
If I could find enough people to give a testimony maybe we could do something together as a group to get this great medication "pregablin" back. It would change so many people's lives.
I live a normal life now and am working as a ward secretary in a hospital. But this combination is still not as good as the real thing.
Thank you for writing and please keep me posted. Feel free to give my address to anyone that is familiar with this drug or wants to talk about their situation or getting it in the US.
