What should I do if I forget a do
se?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Nor-QD
Hi Liz,
I have a history of blood clots too (some sort of gene thing) and I've never heard of being put on Norethindrone for birth control (though I am on it for Endometriosis, and its caused Acne, weight gaina and a full face).
For the clotting, I have to take a full aspirin a day and when pregnant, I will be considered "high risk" but will only have to take one heparain shot a day. I can't image that you can't have kids just because of the clotting issue, but maybe your condition is more serious than mine (I actually got a massive clot in my leg while traveling to asia and it shut down 60% of my lungs before they caught it, but not I'm mostly better).
Sorry I can'be of more help and best of luck.
Sarah

Would like to discuss Pregablin w/other test subjects
Hello Meetinglady
I did some research about two years ago and found that Europe is holding the patent for some reason. Our FDA wouldn't release it because they said they found that it caused tumors in one specific type of mouse. I don't understand this. I did read that the patient could be release in two to four years for us. I'm just waiting and hoping that we will be able to recieve it soon. I am going to do more research and will let you know what I can find out. If you find anything out please let me know.
The doctor that was conducting the experiment was interested in the effect the drug had on me and was affraid I would go back into my shell without it so we came up with a comprable combination of drugs that had a similar affect.Right now I am taking GABAPENTIN (neurontin) and CLONAZEPAM (klonopin). I don't know if you are aware of this but the main ingredient in PREGABLIN is GABAPENTIN. We wern't sure of the other ingredient because they weren't told . But we tried several combinations of things like neurontin with xanax, valium, and another one I don't remember. Those didn't work for me. The combination made me nervous. (That's a good thing because they are very addicting. We finely settled on the klonopin. This really works. I have been taking it for about seven years now and it works. I may have a panic attach on the average once a week. Before it was a daily thing. I couldn't leave the house.
If I could find enough people to give a testimony maybe we could do something together as a group to get this great medication "pregablin" back. It would change so many people's lives.
I live a normal life now and am working as a ward secretary in a hospital. But this combination is still not as good as the real thing.
Thank you for writing and please keep me posted. Feel free to give my address to anyone that is familiar with this drug or wants to talk about their situation or getting it in the US.

Indomethacin and headaches
I'm now off Indomethacin all together and find that instead of having an occasional day without a headache, I'm only having occasional days *with* a bad head. I don't know now if I was having side effects or if it was the Occipital Neuralgia that I also have.
I was happy to stay on the pills indefinately if it meant no headaches but I had no check ups from any doctors and was just left to keep getting repeat prescriptions - and I was on a high dose, 50mg x 3 and 75mg slow release at night (225mgs daily). I'd read somewhere that it was recommended that a reduction in the dose is attempted every six months, and I'd been doing this with no success but this time I found the heads had virtually gone.
I'll certainly go back on them if I need to but it's great to be drug-free for the first time in many years.

so confused
Medroxyprogesterone is used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding, promote menstrual cycles, and to treat symptoms of the menopause.
Progestins are responsible for changes in the mucus and inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) during the second half (secretory phase) of the menstrual cycle. Progestins prepare the endometrium for implantation of the embryo, and once an embryo implants in the endometrium, i.e., pregnancy occurs, progestins help maintain the pregnancy. At high doses, progestins also prevent ovulation (release of the egg from the ovary). Progestins were first isolated in 1933, and progesterone itself was synthesized in the 1940s.

Would like to discuss Pregablin w/other test subjects
I was involved in a blind study in 1997 in Orlando and was lucky enough to get the actual drug - Pregablin. The anxiety I was going through prior to the study was out of control. I couldn't even drive myself to the clinic. Just getting out of bed was a major task. Within two days of ingesting Pregablin, I was able to get out of bed without the butterflies interferring. I actually wanted to cook. I started cleaning my house (even the refrigerater). I was able to get the courage up to put a resume together and get a job. The drug was pulled and I had no access. I became desperate and worked with the staff to come with something comprable to save me until Pregablin becomes available. If anyone knows anything about the release date, please share. The last I heard was that Europe was holding the patent.
I would like to talk with someone that has had an experience with Pregablin or what you have found that works for you. Thank you for your time.
